After decades of military dictatorship, the people of the sorely tested country will go to the polls 8th of November. It is hoped to be the first free and fair elections in 25 years. Regardless of the results, there will be a long and difficult journey before the dreams and hopes of the people can be fulfilled. Before and after the election my work «Dreams of a democracy», will be exhibited at the large square at University of Oslo's campus. The project is drawing a more complex picture of the conflict lines in the rapidly changing country, than the simplified story about the Nobel peace laureate Aung San Suu Kyi against a cruel regime, that most people know. In addition to exhibit, the work will also published in three major Norwegian newspapers and magazines on and around election day.
Thanks to Knut Bry for taking some photos from the opening.
